Starting with a clean slate. Here is a quick list of things I think should go into a new bible:

1. Give thanks to GOD what ever happens, even for the bad things.
2. Do not ask GOD for anything because everything you need will be provided by him.
3. Do not bargain with GOD, he has everything already.
4. When you die, there will be no heaven to go to. Instead you just sleep and have dreams.
5. Do not force or promote GOD to others, he's not a product. People will come to GOD in their own time (if they want).
6. Love everyone and let everyone be who GOD made them to be. This includes homosexuals and the North Korean leaders.
7. Respect others on their believes, all believes leads back to GOD.
   
8. Do not give money to GOD, he does not need it.
9. Let the community you live in make their own laws. No one law is better than the other. If you don't like the rules, vote for a better leader or migrate.
10. The world is no more evil now than 2000 years ago, we just hear about it more because of the internet.
11. You will never have any revelations or dreams from God. He will never as you to do anything in his name.
    
12. Throw away the old bible, it is too confusing.

This about covers it for now. I will talk about each point in detail in future blogs. Anything else?

Before creating a new bible, we need to look at why the bible was created in the first place.  And the main reference for the bible is, yes you've guessed it... God!

How does the bible describe god? Here is a random list:

1. God is a spirit
2. God is  the creator of all things
3. God has always existed
4. God is loving
5. God is all–knowing
6. God  is all–powerful
7. God is omnipresent
8. God is unchanging
9. God is holy
10. God is just, gracious, righteous, and merciful
11. God is a jealous God
    
12. God is the one true God
    
13. God is three in one: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
14. God is a male

The above descriptions of God is misleading and only used to glorify him. For example, If God is merciful, he shouldn't have drowned the entire human population during Noah's time. By doing so, God isn't showing love either, and there goes just, gracious and righteousness. This makes him look stupid so he is not all-knowing.

So in order to update the bible, we need to update God. I think god should be:

1. God is God, there is no God son, there is no holy spirit (to this day no one knows what it is)
   
2. God is transgender, it is neither a he or a she, just it
3. God is powerful but it won't abuse that power by killing millions at one go
4. God won't be jealous if you worship other Gods or Idols, all worships leads back to it
5. God is above all other Gods
6. God is humble
   
7. God is ok if you take its name in vain, OMFG is fine
8. God is omnipresent, but God won't be there all the time, especially when you are doing a poo

I will add or subtract to the list as I see fit.

So what turns regular people off the current bible? Here is a list:

1. It is confusing  and could easily be taken out of context
   
2. It has contradicting ideas
3. It is full of crazy stories with bizarre rituals and practices
   
4. The laws and commandments are ancient
5. It is compiled by different authors. A case of too many cooks spoil the broth
6. It does not portray God as a loving one
   
7. It is sexist
8. It is very very long

The new bible will need to address these short comings.

Bible Quote: (Revelation 22:18-19)
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

So am I doing something wrong according to God?

Take your car for example. You can add to it by installing a turbo engine and some cow seat covers. You can also take away the side mirrors or even the brakes if you don't need it. But be warned, if you do these things, your warranty will be void and your insurance company will most probably not insure you.

So similarly to what the the original bible have to say: do not "add to" or "take away from" the word of God otherwise you will be doomed to hell.

What I'm proposing here is ditch your old car and buy a new one.  It's a new book to replace the old. 

Looks like I'll be free from plagues... for now.

A lot of people seek the bible for answers about life. Yes the bible talks about who, what, when, why, how about life. But they are after all, just stories with no backing evidence.

Some things I don't like about the current bible:

1. The God is not the all loving God I've come to know in Sunday school.
   
2. The rules and regulations are outdated.
3. It's full of crazy stories.
   
4. It's just darn right confusing and contradicting.
5. It's dangerous in the wrong hands.
   

Some things I like about the bible:

1. It stops my door from banging.
   

So why do people in this day and age still believe in this shit? Well one thing is, there is nothing out there that can satisfy one's hunger for answer. Science still can't give us the meaning of life, but does that give us the right to come up our own ideas?

Hell yes it does.

Religion played a great part in my life.  I was born in a Christian family, went to church most Sundays and participated in after church activities such as youth group and choir practice.

What a waste of time.

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy being with my family and the fellowship at church. The people are friendly, the after church lunch is always good.  But sometimes there is always a doubt in me thinking, why am I doing this? Is God even real? 

I guess when I was younger, I had no choice but to follow my parents. At church we were taught how to be a good citizen in God's eyes. Most important of all, read the bible. And read the bible I did, and I have come to a conclusion...

There is no God.

Well even if there is one, the God I want to rule the universe is definitely not like the crazy one in the bible.

Bible Quote: (Ezekiel 4:12-15)
"You are to build a fire out of dried human excrement, bake bread on the fire, and eat it where everyone can see you.” The Lord said, “This represents the way the Israelites will have to eat food which the Law forbids, when I scatter them to foreign countries.”

But I replied, “No, Sovereign Lord! I have never defiled myself. From childhood on I have never eaten meat from any animal that died a natural death or was killed by wild animals. I have never eaten any food considered unclean.”

So God said, “Very well. I will let you use cow dung instead, and you can bake your bread on that.”

Why do we live?

Some say we live to reproduce, but what are we reproducing for? What is the point? Most religion will tell you that the ultimate goal is to end up in heaven, where there will be endless happiness... then what?

Welcome to my first blog. I, like many of you, am just a grain of sand, whirl-pooling through in an hourglass which we call life, while trying to make sense of it all before we trickle down to the bottom, motionless and spent. 

Hopefully before my time ends, I can share with you what I believe life is all about. I have no idea why I needed to start this blog, maybe it's a way for me to keep track of my mind, which at the moment is full of questions and lacking the satisfying answers.
