- It is confusing and could easily be taken out of context
- It has contradicting ideas
- It is full of crazy stories with bizarre rituals and practices
- The laws and commandments are ancient
- It is compiled by different authors. A case of too many cooks spoil the broth
- It does not portray God as a loving one
- It is sexist
- It is very very long
